This study diagnoses the reform tasks of the national defense personnel system after the enactment of the Defense Reform Act, focusing on the contents of the defense white paper, and discusses the mid-term policy direction and development tasks of the national defense personnel system by forecasting the mid-term national defense development conditions. The mid-term policy direction focuses on personnel streamlining, advanced operational systems, and improved personnel expertise in terms of forming a comprehensive combat power, as well as the development of personnel structure and improvement of personnel systems.
