Summary

This study analyzes existing research on the social networks of the elderly to summarize research trends and suggest future research directions. Existing research shows that aid and support through social networks have a positive impact on the health and psychological well-being of the elderly, and awareness of the importance of social networks has become widespread. Future research should focus on segmenting research subjects, expanding research on the structural and functional aspects of social support, in-depth analysis of the process of social support formation, and expanding research on mediating and moderating effects.
