Summary

This study investigated the effect of critical thinking-based instruction on higher-order thinking skills and academic achievement in elementary school students. The results showed that the instruction improved the level of higher-order thinking skills in the experimental group, particularly in sub-areas such as demonstration, critical thinking, and metacognition, and also increased academic achievement.
