Summary

This study examined the Self-Directed Language Learning Readiness (SDLLR) of Korean elementary, middle, and high school students, comparing changes based on years of English study and differences with self-directed learning readiness (SDLR) for other subjects. The results showed a significant decrease in SDLLR as students studied English longer, with the highest SDLLR scores observed in the elementary school group.
