Summary

This study analyzed the impact of social networks on the employment and wage levels of people with disabilities. The results showed that social networks had little effect on employment, but employees who found jobs through work-related weak ties earned higher wages. This suggests that weak ties have a positive effect on wage levels through information effects, rather than close ties.
