Summary

This study examined the impact of wives’ depression and Hwabyung on their husbands’ depression and Hwabyung, and whether husbands’ marital satisfaction moderates this relationship. The results indicated that wives’ depression significantly predicted husbands’ depression, and wives’ Hwabyung significantly predicted husbands’ Hwabyung. Furthermore, husbands’ marital satisfaction buffered the likelihood of husbands developing Hwabyung due to their wives’ Hwabyung.
