This study interprets the Four-Seven Theory debate in the Joseon Dynasty from Toegye to Yulgok to Nongam from the perspective of ‘the practice of good’. Nongam Kim Chang-hyeop presented the theory of ‘two aspects of good with one path’ by synthesizing Yulgok’s position, and argued that good is possible through both qi practicing li and li realizing itself through the practice of qi. Furthermore, Nongam proposed the theory of li-qi interaction, emphasizing the interaction between li and qi in the practice of good.
