Summary

This study analyzed the perceptions of elementary school students regarding English reading and writing learning. The results showed that students found writing activities less interesting than reading activities due to the burden of memorizing vocabulary and sentences, and students with lower writing skills tended to find writing activities more difficult. Most students recognized the importance of learning both reading and writing for preparing for higher education entrance exams, but they primarily focused on vocabulary learning.
