Summary

This study investigated the on-site experiences of in-service teachers who completed a teacher education program based on disability studies through in-depth interviews and participant observation. The results showed that the teachers challenged the normative understanding of disability deeply rooted in school culture, made efforts to improve it, and the disability studies-based teacher education program played a crucial role in realizing the ideals of inclusive education.
