Summary

This study investigates the perceptions of special education teachers regarding the practical relevance of designated subjects in the secondary special education teacher training program and suggests areas for improvement. Survey results indicated that many special education teachers experience a mismatch between their certified subjects and the subjects they actually teach, and special class teachers face practical difficulties in utilizing their subject expertise.
