Summary

This study analyzed the characteristics of the land-use cluster in Cheongju city CBD using the land-use dominance index (LDI). The LDI was derived from the concept of the location quotient (LQ) in regional economics, and the present conditions of urban center functions in each floor and zone were analyzed considering efficiency, stability, and complementarity. The results showed that the clustering of specific land-use on a particular floor indicates an effort to improve efficiency.
