Summary

This study analyzed the emotional stages of anthropomorphic animal characters in animation by constructing a DB of six basic emotions for the elephant character Horton and analyzing the characteristics of movement and emotional expression through Laban's movement theory. As a result, emotional intensity factors according to the changes in emotional stages of anthropomorphic animal characters were extracted and emotional stages for each emotional expression were proposed to contribute to natural emotional expression and action direction.
