Summary

This study analyzes university students’ perceptions of the educational use of SNS to explore effective utilization methods. An analysis of open-ended responses using NVivo S/W revealed that SNS utilization occurs in various areas such as opinion exchange, information sharing, and assignment activities, and differences were identified in how instructors and learners utilize SNS. Based on this analysis, specific methods for the educational use of SNS are proposed.
