Summary

This study analyzed experimental studies on intervention methods for children with reading disabilities in Korea (1997-2009) to examine participant characteristics, research methods, intervention effectiveness, and scope of application. The analysis revealed that studies targeting third-grade elementary school students were most common, and many focused on children at the word recognition stage. The research indicated a lack of assessment of reading development stages and detailed descriptions of intervention settings.
