Summary

This study validated the self-diagnosis screening scale for learning disabilities in elementary school students. The scale can be used to identify children with learning disabilities and collect information for referral to special education services, and consists of five sub-domains (receptive/expressive language, mathematics, attention/organization, sociality). The results of the validation study with 899 elementary school students showed high reliability and model fit, suggesting its potential usefulness in identifying the causes of academic underachievement in upper elementary school students and providing opportunities for special education support.
