Summary

This study aimed to develop a low-carbon education program based on the concept of a carbon footprint, considering the developmental stage of elementary school students, and to foster their awareness and attitudes towards climate change. The developed program is designed to be easily applied by teachers in the field and helps students gain a sense of agency regarding climate change issues through the process of reducing their own carbon footprint.
