Summary
This study discusses ILO's Domestic Workers Convention No. 189 and the legal status and protection of domestic workers in Korea. In Korea, there is a precedent that does not recognize domestic workers as employees, and legislative protection measures are urgently needed due to the exclusion of the Labor Standards Act. Therefore, various legislative considerations such as deleting the exclusion clause for domestic workers and enacting a special act are necessary.
