Summary

This study compares the development of spoken and sign language interpreting education, presenting the characteristics and differences of each, and explores future directions for interpreting education. The analysis reveals that spoken language interpreting education is mainly conducted at the university level, while sign language interpreting education is not, and a Sign Language Interpreter Test system was established before sign language interpreting education was introduced, while spoken language interpreting lacks a similar social system.
