Summary

This study examines the appropriateness of disciplinary measures for perpetrators of school violence under the Act on the Prevention of and Measures for School Violence (School Violence Act). Recognizing the increase in school violence and the severity of the damage, the study reviewed the purpose and legal characteristics of the School Violence Act and suggested that deleting the written apology measure for perpetrators and expanding the discretion of school principals would enhance the prevention of school violence and victim healing.
