Summary

This study investigated the effect of small group composition based on student characteristics on the level of argumentation process within groups. The results showed that groups with high self-concept and scientific attitude demonstrated higher argumentation levels compared to other groups. This suggests the need to encourage active participation of students with lower self-concept and scientific attitude to promote argumentation activities in class.
