Summary

This study investigated the cultural orientation and multicultural awareness of pre-service teachers to provide basic data for developing multicultural education programs. The results showed that pre-service teachers had a high degree of horizontal collectivism, which was related to multicultural efficacy. Additionally, distance toward foreigners was found to be influenced by prejudice based on race.
