다윗의 기브온 정책 (삼하 21:1-14)

Author

구약논단

Summary

This study analyzes David's policy toward the Gibeonites in 2 Samuel 21:1-14 to derive implications for communication among members of modern society. David, following God's instruction regarding a famine caused by Saul's sin, accepts the Gibeonites' demands, executes Saul's descendants, and subsequently receives God's favor by properly burying Saul and Jonathan. While textual and theological difficulties arise, a narrative-critical approach confirms David's pure intentions and the belief that God acts not only for Israel but also for foreigners.
