Korean party politics, after 20 years of development, functions as an electoral organizer but remains in a gray area due to its lack of legitimacy and efficiency as a representative mechanism. Party theory also struggles with the gap between imported theories and the analysis of Korean reality, and existing research fails to fully reflect the changing characteristics of party politics. Overcoming the marginalization of party politics requires realistic analysis and value formation.
