This study critically examines the limitations of the current discourse on the Korean Wave (Hallyu), which is trapped in evolutionism and crisis theory, remaining focused on a Korea-centric perspective. Hallyu should be understood not as a one-way export-import relationship but as a 'cultural flow' where various cultures intersect, and a shift in discourse considering its characteristics as transnational content is necessary. Overcoming the limitations of existing discourse and examining the flow of cultural transversality is crucial.
