Summary

This study validated the construct validity of a self-concept scale among middle and high school students and analyzed the relationship between gender and grade level differences in self-concept and academic achievement. The results showed that male students had higher overall self-concept than female students, and academic self-concept positively influenced academic achievement across all grade levels.
