Summary

This study investigated the effect of an after-school play program applying self-determination skills on the self-determination ability and self-efficacy of adolescents with intellectual disabilities by implementing the program for an experimental group and analyzing the differences in pre- and post-test scores. The results showed that the program had a positive impact on both the self-determination ability and self-efficacy of adolescents with intellectual disabilities. This is interpreted as a result of adolescents increasing their sense of accomplishment and expectations for their abilities through program modification and reconstruction.
