Summary

This study investigated the perception of multicultural education and multicultural efficacy as components of pre-service teachers' multicultural education competence. The survey results showed that pre-service teachers understood multicultural education, and those with experience in multicultural education courses had higher understanding and efficacy. Based on these findings, the study suggests the need to develop diverse courses and systematic teacher training programs to enhance pre-service teachers' multicultural education competence.
