Summary

This study analyzed scientific literacy in biology questions of the College Scholastic Ability Test based on four categories: knowledge, science as inquiry, science as a way of thinking, and science-technology-society interaction. The results showed that questions related to science as inquiry were most frequent, while questions related to science-technology-society interaction were absent. There were no significant differences in the distribution of scientific literacy categories between Biology I and Biology II questions.
