Summary

This study developed a standardized tool to measure mathematical attitudes of middle school students and analyzed their characteristics. The developed tool consists of five factors: interest in mathematics, confidence, parental/teacher interest, and self-regulation, and examined differences in attitudes based on gender and academic achievement. Students with higher academic achievement levels showed more positive attitudes towards mathematics, and male students showed higher confidence in specific factors compared to female students.
