Summary

This study analyzed the major learning effect, learning strategies, and teaching methods of university-level English major courses. Survey results indicated that students perceived the major learning effect of English-medium courses as low, and factors such as not using Korean translated textbooks and utilizing major study groups influenced the effect, in addition to English proficiency. Furthermore, students preferred teaching methods that provided opportunities for English utilization over Korean.
