Summary

This study compares mathematics classes in 8th grade across Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and the United States based on the TIMSS 2007 survey. Korea was found to implement differentiated instruction more frequently but had the lowest frequency of enrichment instruction, and utilized homework less for class materials or evaluation compared to other countries. Implications for Korean education are discussed based on these findings.
