Summary

This study analyzed the item characteristics and examinee reliability of the evaluation indicators for elementary school teachers' teaching competence based on item response theory using the generalized partial credit model. The results showed that the indicators more accurately estimate the competence of teachers with intermediate or lower levels of teaching competence and are composed of items with generally low item difficulty and discrimination. Specifically, some items' category difficulty deviates from the human ability range, requiring revision.
