This study examines the influence of the Bobingsa delegation in the late Joseon dynasty on the introduction of Protestantism to Korea. The modernization ideas of the Bobingsa members influenced the transmission of Protestantism, and Hong Yeong-sik's perception of the United States played a crucial role in his shift towards supporting Christianity. Through the Gapsin Coup, Protestantism established itself through missionary work with the help of Min Yeong-ik.
