Summary

This study aimed to develop a science education program linked with dramatic play for young children and to compare its effects on intellectual ability, scientific competence, and language ability with those of an inquiry-based science education program, thereby validating its applicability to early childhood education settings. The results indicated that the dramatic play-linked science education program was more effective in enhancing young children’s intellectual ability, scientific competence, and language ability than the inquiry-based science education program.
