Summary

This study analyzed the relationship between leisure activity types and depression levels among single-person elderly households. Leisure activity types were classified into individual-oriented routine physical exercise, socially-oriented/recreational activities, hobby-oriented activities, and leisure-neglect type, with hobby-oriented activities being associated with lower depression levels. Additionally, gender, marital status, subjective health status, and frequency of meeting with children were found to influence depression levels.
