This study explores the future direction of social work practice in response to social changes in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It analyzes the characteristics of the future society, such as hyper-connectivity, community, and individualization, and proposes tasks to overcome the limitations of current social work practice: rearranging practice knowledge, technique, and value; expansive practice; and exploring the uniqueness of the social work profession.
