Summary

This study investigated the perceptions of good instruction among pre-service and in-service early childhood teachers, revealing that high school instruction was predominantly viewed through a ‘nurturing’ perspective, while university instruction was seen as ‘apprenticeship’. In-service teachers showed a stronger inclination towards the ‘apprenticeship’ perspective compared to pre-service teachers. The findings were discussed in relation to domestic and international research, and further research was suggested, focusing on more detailed analysis by school level and major.
