Summary

This study investigated the perceived difficulties and influencing variables of middle school students' academic performance in the technology domain of technology education. Survey results indicated that students attributed difficulties to a lack of experience, with female students reporting greater challenges in understanding terminology, theory, and problem-solving activities compared to male students. Furthermore, factors such as a lack of explanatory understanding, confusion of content knowledge, and lack of technical interest were found to influence academic difficulties.
