Summary

This study examined the acculturation types of multicultural adolescents based on their bicultural acceptance and analyzed the differences in psychological and school adaptation among these types. Cluster analysis revealed three acculturation types: Korean culture-friendly, foreign culture-friendly, and bicultural alienated, with the bicultural alienated type being the most prevalent. Adolescents of the Korean culture-friendly type showed the highest adaptation, while those of the bicultural alienated type experienced difficulties in psychological and school adaptation.
