Summary

This study explored how pre-service elementary school teachers experience practical knowledge in physical education classes at small-sized schools in rural areas. The results showed that pre-service teachers acquired practical knowledge in various aspects such as class challenges, safety management responsibility, curriculum restructuring, and measures for small classes, which significantly impacted their growth and development as teachers. Teacher training institutions should strengthen connections with the field to provide concrete experiences and feedback.
