Summary

This study explored the causes of and gender differences in negative emotional experiences during team sports activities among middle school students. The results indicated that students most frequently experienced anger, which was primarily attributed to game-related factors. Additionally, emotions such as anxiety, sorrow, fear, shame, guilt, envy, and jealousy were experienced, with causes related to both personal and team factors, but no significant gender differences were observed.
