Summary

This study investigated the perceptions of 460 elementary, middle, and high school students regarding the types and educational effects of student active classes. The results indicated that manipulative and hands-on class types were more effective, and the effect was greater for students with high academic achievement and those with 6 months to 1 year of active class experience. Educational effects differed by school level and gender, highlighting the need to reduce developmental gaps and prepare specific alternatives.
