Summary

This study analyzed the democratic civic competencies of activity tasks in middle school home economics textbooks based on the 2015 revised national curriculum. The results showed that the citizenship competency group was most frequently addressed, particularly the trust and value competency. The study suggests the need for research on classroom instruction to develop students’ democratic civic competencies in family life through home economics education.
