This study aims to provide a framework for developing a national competency standard (NCS)-based makeup curriculum at universities, and reformed the curriculum of H University's Department of Cosmetology by reflecting the demands of industry and students. As a result, the developed curriculum, reflecting the competency units required for makeup jobs, is expected to contribute to fostering makeup professionals needed in a competency-based society and improving employment rates.
