Summary

This study aimed to compare the characteristics of nursing work environments based on department type and to investigate the relationship between work environment and job satisfaction. The results showed significant differences in development opportunities, meaning of work, recognition, role clarity, and social community based on department type, and factors influencing job satisfaction such as influence, meaning of work, reward, role conflict, and leadership quality varied by department type.
