Summary

This study examined the influence of approach and avoidance motivation on academic self-regulation and the mediating effect of self-efficacy in college students. The results showed that approach motivation had a positive effect on academic self-regulation without the mediation of self-efficacy, while avoidance motivation negatively affected academic self-regulation through self-efficacy.
