Summary

This study analyzed the association between workplace discrimination and mental health (psychological distress, depression, suicidal ideation) among 1,155 Korean medical residents. A significant association was found between discrimination experience and psychological distress, depression, and suicidal ideation in male residents, and with depression in female residents. These findings suggest that workplace discrimination can be a cause of mental health problems among medical residents.
