Summary

This study examined the risk components and types perceived in purchasing paper fashion products and identified differences in risk perception across age groups. Through focus group interviews and surveys, five types of risk factors were identified – performance, social-psychological, aesthetic, financial, and time/convenience – with younger consumers perceiving performance and social-psychological risks more strongly, and older consumers perceiving financial risks more strongly.
