Summary

This study analyzes the content and limitations of the ‘peace culture’ concept and explores the applicability of peace culture to solving peace issues in Korean society. Peace culture aims to spread peace through various elements such as peace education and respect for human rights, and to promote peace in everyday life by leading to positive changes in human values and identity. Considering the division and Cold War cultural characteristics of Korean society, peace culture can contribute to resolving social conflicts and building a peaceful inter-Korean relationship.
