Summary
This study investigated the effects of child abuse on children's depression and anxiety, as well as the mediating effects of peer attachment and self-esteem. The results showed that child abuse directly influenced children's depression, anxiety, and self-esteem, and self-esteem directly influenced depression and anxiety. Furthermore, self-esteem mediated the relationship between child abuse and depression/anxiety.
